White Water Walk
A boardwalk at the water's edge beside the Class VI rapids of the Niagara Gorge.
A tunnel and elevator bring you down to a boardwalk along the bottom of the gorge, right beside some of the most powerful rapids in North America. The water here is the same river that just went over the falls, squeezed into a narrow channel and moving fast enough to be genuinely unsettling up close.
Plan it. It is a short visit, twenty to thirty minutes, and pairs well with the Whirlpool Aero Car and the Niagara Glen trails nearby. The boardwalk is flat once you are down, but the access is by elevator, so check seasonal hours before driving up the parkway.
