Butterfly Conservatory
A warm glasshouse with hundreds of free flying butterflies, a calm indoor stop up the parkway.
Inside the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, the Butterfly Conservatory is a humid, plant filled glasshouse where hundreds of butterflies fly free around the paths. Stand still for a minute and they land on you. It is quiet, indoor, and a perfect antidote to a hot afternoon or a rainy one.
Plan it. It is a short visit and easy to combine with the Floral Clock and a drive up the parkway. Wear bright colours if you want butterflies to land on you, and leave the stroller room, since the paths are narrow.
